Position Title: Food Runner
Job Summary:
Food Runners play a vital role in Brookside’s culinary operation by ensuring that food is delivered to members quickly, accurately, and with the highest level of service. This role supports both kitchen and service teams to enhance the overall dining experience for our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly deliver food items from the kitchen to members’ tables.
- Assist kitchen and service staff to maintain food quality, timing, and presentation standards.
- Set up the front line with necessary equipment, plateware, and smallware’s.
- Restock station supplies throughout the shift to maintain readiness.
- Clean and prepare trays and tray stands for service.
- Read order tickets as they arrive and manage them on the ticket rail.
- Monitor cooking times, check food for doneness, accuracy, and presentation before delivery.
- Support servers to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Follow all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately.
- Complete end-of-shift closing duties properly.
- Assist in kitchen cleaning and closing tasks as needed.
- Perform assigned side work in both front and back of house.
- Assist with buffet and party setups during non-peak times.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Work Hours & Benefits:
- Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Sunday, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (subject to seasonal changes).
