Patient Care Coordinator – Oncology/Hematology

Description
- Fast paced work environment.
- Greets patients with a friendly demeanor.
- Registering patients upon arrival to the office.
- Able to handle heavy phone volume with a professional phone etiquette.
- Scheduling/referring patients for tests/outside facilities.
- Obtaining medical records from outside institutions.
- Faxing orders/medical records.
- Processing daily mail.
- Reliable and able to work independently as well as a team.
- Scanning medical records into EMR.
- Effectively communicate with other departments within the practice.
- Interacts with patients in a kind and professional manner.
- Able to multitask in a high paced environment.
- Computer knowledge, able to efficiently perform data entry and navigate patient’s electronical medical record in Medent and Epic.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Medical terminology required.
- Additional duties to be determined.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Medical experience required; Oncology/Hematology preferred.
