Purchase and inventory medical supplies and equipment; program supplies and educational materials; and office supplies.Use of various software and web-based applications to produce documents and reports, data entry activities for program management or client appointments, and agency documentation requirements.Serves as a centralized client intake person providing office support to clients and staff.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Purchase and inventory medical supplies, office supplies, program materials and health resource information.Create from rough draft, format and print a number of educational materials and pamphlets. Greet public and clients in office; answer phone; provide information and direct to the appropriate staff. Schedule client appointments for various programs maintaining the Outlook calendar.Complete intake process for a variety of programs: provide and assure completion of appropriate forms; collect identifying information, insurance information and fees as needed.Compiles teaching packets and charts for clients as needed. Produce documents and reports using various software and web-based applications for program management and client appointments. Public Health Preparedness: along with other support staff, is responsible for processing communications, contacts and information in the case of a community emergency event (such as a communicable disease outbreak or bioterrorism incident), including providing support and assistance to nurses who are in the field or in the office.Works with confidential information and must follow state and federal privacy laws. Performs a variety of administrative duties such as daily mail processing, word processing, filing, proofreading, and maintaining directories and rosters. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.Attends regular staff meetings and in-service education programs.Coordinates the repair and maintenance of office equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
