Job Description: Accounts Receivable Clerk

In the Accounts Receivable Clerk position, you would be responsible for writing merchandise pick-up orders and credit orders for customers and sales personnel when they call in, handle customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner and file invoices for previous day. You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.

Responsibilities:

• truck reconciliation reports
• match credit /debit memos to original invoices
• write merchandise pick-up orders and credit orders for customers and sales personnel when they call in
• handle customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner
• complete work in progress such as misc. changes, copies and explanations, and corrections
• file invoices for previous day
• daily shorts and mispicks
• write up credit reports for damaged products to receive supplier credit
• the end of the accounts receivable month is the last working day of each month. truck reconciliations that come back during the afternoon are handled promptly so that payments can be entered during the current month. all of this must be done before 3:00 pm.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Possess effective time management skills
• Must have basic pc skills and be familiar with common business applications (MS Office including Outlook and Word)
• Ability to use digital tools and applications to conduct job responsibilities, including a smart phone and/or other devices
• Ability to use new applications/proprietary software
• Possess organizational and negotiating skills
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts as they pertain to sales, commissions, discounts and volume
• Ability to perform non-repetitive lifting of up to 25 lbs
