Position Overview
The contract Advisor, Corporate Content will support the Communications & Public Affairs (C\&PA) Center of Excellence by developing and delivering compelling content across multiple platforms and audiences. This role is responsible for reviewing and editing submissions, ensuring messaging consistency, and maintaining key content resources such as the company’s glossary and word/phrase bank.
The contractor will contribute to content strategy, evaluate opportunities for improvement, and help drive innovation by exploring new storytelling formats and technologies. This position also supports editorial planning, manages conversations around content calendars, and monitors emerging industry trends to inform ongoing content work.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development & Execution
- Create engaging, high‑quality content for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, print, and video.
- Lead content creation efforts and ensure alignment with brand voice, style, and tone.
- Review, edit, and refine submitted content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Editorial & Calendar Management
- Manage the corporate content calendar and coordinate timing of deliverables.
- Schedule and lead content meetings to gather information and identify story opportunities.
- Maintain messaging documents and glossary resources.
Content Strategy & Optimization
- Conduct content audits and gap analyses; recommend improvements.
- Monitor performance metrics and apply insights to refine content strategies.
- Experiment with new content formats, digital tools, and channels.
Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support
- Partner with social media teams to promote content across platforms.
- Work with Brand Creative CoE on visual storytelling.
- Provide occasional backup support for crisis communications and global digital signage (handled primarily by another team; assistance provided as needed).
Expected Workload (Monthly):
Candidates should expect a steady, varied content pipeline such as:
- 6–8 internal stories per month
- 1–2 external website articles per month
- ~3 executive communications
- Occasional posts for proprietary social platforms (e.g., MyRoute)
- Leading 2–3 content meetings per month
- Regular use of Monday.com for content tracking and calendaring
Example Early Projects (First 30 Days):
- Golden Shield Awards: Work may include any final or unexpected follow‑ups after the March 17 announcement.
- Month of Learning (August): Contribute to communications planning, event‑related content, and potential feature stories.
Required Qualifications:
- Authorization to work in the country where the role is based.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years of communications experience creating content across multiple platforms for enterprise‑level audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and producing a range of communication types (digital stories, newsletters, scripts, leadership communications, PowerPoint, social content, etc.).
- Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Skilled at communicating effectively across digital, written, and verbal channels.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- Experience with Canva and SharePoint; advanced writing/editing capabilities required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, English, Digital Media, Multimedia, or Creative Writing.
- Experience in video scripting, shooting, editing, and production.
- Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, and platforms such as Copilot or Axios HQ.
- Graphic design and presentation‑building skills.
- Experience shaping and measuring integrated communications programs.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of independence and judgment.
