What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician - Supply position at Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation?
Position Purpose :
Carries out service and maintenance of the electric distribution system as necessary to provide the best possible service to members
Essential Functions :
- Respond to outage calls and get customer's power restored.
- Monitor distribution system for potential service problems.
- Make calls on customers to collect delinquent payments and to make connection connects / disconnects.
- Follow the Cooperative's safety rules, standards, and procedures.
- Detect faulty operations or materials and report all unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Be available to independently respond for emergency service calls.
Physical Demands :
Regular physical effort required to pull wires, climb, operate equipment, and perform other line duties.
Environmental Conditions :
Outside fieldwork with exposure to varying, sometimes severe, weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Maintain a valid North Carolina commercial driver's license and DOT certification
Training and experience equivalent to First Class Line Technician
