Full Time Shifts Available: 4PM-12AM & 12AM-8AM
Full-Time Salary: $23.25 - $23.95 per hour
Brunswick Hospital Center (BHC), is a 146-bed private, acute-care psychiatric hospital that is licensed by The New York State Office of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Brunswick Hospital Center caters to a diverse population throughout the NY Metropolitan region and is located 45 minutes from Manhattan and in close proximity to all major expressways and the LIRR/local bus service.
In this diversified role, you will be responsible for performing the direct and indirect patient care support component of the nursing process in the psychiatric clinical environment, under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse.
Required Qualifications:
- High School or Equivalency Diploma
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Trust trained
- PMCS
- TCI
- CPSI
- CPR Certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Caring and compassionate to special needs population
- Supportive of cultural diverse approaches to care
- Demonstrated empathy towards marginalized groups
- Ability to assist and advocate for needs of population served
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in psychiatric healthcare facility/setting desirable
- Nurse’s Aide Certification a plus
