Description

Position Summary: 

The Technical Support Specialist will act as a key point of contact for IT-related incidents and service requests. This role involves providing Tier I and II support to students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and in-person interactions. The goal is to swiftly resolve support requests to the satisfaction of the user in a demanding service delivery environment.

Along with the tech team, the Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for the lifecycle management of over 800 Macs and iPads, approximately 50 desktops running Windows 10, and over 80 printers and copiers. This includes troubleshooting basic network connectivity, printing issues, and software applications in an integrated (Mac and PC) environment.

 

Please note: In-depth knowledge and experience supporting macOS and iOS platforms is a necessity for this role.

Qualifications


  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Mac-centric helpdesk role, preferably in a K-12 school setting.
  • Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) certification is required.
  • Solid experience in troubleshooting and supporting all current macOS and iOS versions.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Office, and Adobe applications is preferred.
  • Ability to triage problems, provide technical explanations, and recommend solutions to users.
  • Management of software and hardware inventory, licensing, and warranty tracking.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, particularly when interacting with non-technical users.
  • Exceptional self-motivation and direction with a keen attention to detail.
