Summary
The CAD Technician will be a key member of the Bryant Associates team in our Syracuse, NY office, where he/she will use Civil 3D® AutoCAD® to develop drawings in support of surveying and engineering projects for a wide range of public and private clients of our multi-disciplinary Survey, Engineering (Site/Civil, Structural and Traffic) and Construction Management firm.
Job Description
The CAD Technician will utilize Civil 3D® AutoCAD® and other tools to prepare drawings that support site/civil engineering and land survey projects in accordance with project specifications. This position will work closely with Site/Civil Engineering and Survey teams. Occasional site visits may be required from time to time.

Job Description
The CAD Technician will utilize Civil 3D® AutoCAD® and other tools to prepare drawings that support site/civil engineering and land survey projects in accordance with project specifications. This position will work closely with Site/Civil Engineering and Survey teams. Occasional site visits may be required from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
- Produce detailed drawings for submittal to clients, municipalities, agencies for assigned projects. Examples include but are not limited to: soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, construction staking, boundary surveys and topographic mapping.
- Prepare instructions and support information, as well as review field notes and staking information for completeness and clarity.
- Communicates with project managers, surveyors, and colleagues to modify drawings in accordance with project specifications, and printing, copying, and organizing CADD drawings.
- Will gather engineering data from a variety of sources.
- Conduct project related model reviews.
- Perform general administrative duties by maintaining project plans.
- Proven ability to be well organized with data management and file structure.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- High School Diploma or equivalent; AS or Certificate in CADD Design a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of related CAD design experience.
- Prior experience with land survey and civil engineering terms and practices desired.
- Extremely proficient in AutoCAD® Civil 3D®
- BIM or MicroStation software training and experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
