- Supports anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Prepares and sets up anesthesia machines, monitors, IVs, airway equipment, and carts before procedures
- Cleans, disinfects, and restocks anesthesia carts and work areas
- Assists anesthesia providers with induction and emergence phases
- Transports equipment and supplies between locations as needed
- Monitors inventory of anesthesia supplies and requests restocking
- Performs daily machine checks and logs maintenance tasks
- Responds promptly to operating room requests
- Disposes of used equipment and waste per infection control standards
- Assists with patient transport and positioning as directed
- Adheres to safety protocols and sterile technique
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T. or Cer.A.T.T.).
- Completion of the Anesthesia Technician training program.
- One year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting
