Electric Sign and Custom Fabricator

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a an experienced (min 3 yrs. ) Fabricator, who will be responsible for fabricating many types of signs and custom products. Every project we handle is unique, different, challenging, and requires a high level of fabrication and or welding skills. This is not a position for mass production type welding or fabrication experience as we don’t make standardized widget type products.

HOURS:

• This is a full-time position with potential for some overtime (40 hrs.)

• Typical hours are from 6:00am-2:30pm.

• Must be able to start work early, work late, or work weekends as needed.

• Must be able to read shop, architectural, construction, engineering, types of drawings.

• Must be able to clear a background check and drug test.

• Must be presentable, professional, and punctual.

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs.

• Must be able to read, write (legibly), & speak English.

• Must be able to operate a smartphone.

• Must have basic computer skills, such as typing skills, email, using the internet, etc.

• Must be able to follow instructions.

• Must be able to keep area clean, safe, organized.

• Must be able to maintain welding and fabrication equipment.

• Must be able to follow company procedures, guidelines, handbooks, and policies (including COVID related).

• Be open-minded to cross-training and helping other depts. as needed.

• Must be able to communicate well with dept. supervisor and other coworkers (electronically and verbally)

• Must be able to work in an efficient and productive pace with limited supervision (keep to schedule & work as needed to complete projects on-time)

• Have or be willing to obtain osha training, forklift, etc.

• Must be able to safely operate standard hand tools, power tools, and various types of fabrication equipment.

• Must own or be willing to invest in own hand and power tools.

• Must have high level understanding of mathematics.

• Must be accurate in facets of fabrication (measure twice, cut once mentality).

• Must be able to help install custom fabricated projects as needed.

• Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts as needed.

POSITIVES FOR STRONG CONSIDERATION:

• Previous signage or custom fabrication experience (Minimum 3 years).

• Vocational / trade degree in welding and or metal fabrication.

• OSHA training / welding certifications.

• Experience in electrical & wiring.

• Experience MIG welding various metal types (Aluminum, Steel, Stainless).

• TIG welding experience is a plus.
