Work Summary:
Under general supervision, performs para-professional work, administering assessment instruments and the development of members Support Plans. Assist with the development, and documentation of deceleration programs. Will be the lead worker, as assigned, over other staff, working in an assigned area. Possess skills necessary to work with individuals with aggressive and/or self-abusive behaviors in a responsible care-giving style. Supervise PSC 1-6 staff and members in the absence of Activities manager; address issues, handle appointments, schedule staff time off, driving, disciplinary, etc. Will be responsible for maintenance of assigned work area. BSW, Inc. operates on the philosophy of Zero Tolerance for Abuse and Neglect and any such occurrence will be reported according to policy. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving in a professional and courteous manner with consumers, families, guardians, advocates, co-workers and other service providers. Must be able to lift/carry 20 pounds or more.
Hours of Work: Monday Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (hrs will vary due to need)
Wage: $18.00/hr.
Closing Date: Will begin reviewing applications Aug. 26, 2024; Open until filled.
Education and Experience Required:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Two years experience working with people with special needs and supervisory experience preferred.
3. Remain current on all required certifications.
4. Willingness to attend specialized training as requested.
5. Valid Montana Drivers License and the ability to be covered by BSW, Inc. insurance.
