- GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Purchasing Agent/Buyer is responsible for assisting with the coordination of day-to-day activities associated with Materials Management to enhance efficient and effective care delivered to the patients of Buchanan County Health Center. The Purchasing Agent/Buyer will assist with the procurement and delivery of materials and supplies to ensure optimal customer service standards are met.
- EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Position requires analytical, organizational and communication skills to maintain records and files, ability to prepare and schedule outgoing freight, and transport and receive incoming shipments generally acquired through a high school education. Experience using MediTech software is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.
- Must be able to be covered by BCHC auto liability insurance.
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak English and perform arithmetic calculations.
- WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Two years of experience in shipping/receiving or related setting preferred.
- Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures; supply management, and tracking budget expenses. Skill in preparing and analyzing technical specifications and bids; verbal and written communication; and in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, Mon, Wed, Fri-9:00am-5:30pm, Tues, Thurs-hours can be flexible
