As a Personal Care Attendant, you will impact the lives of the Residents through providing routine personal care services in their homes and assist with the activities of daily living.
- Provide personal assistance in the home setting to assist with the activities of daily living.
- Aid with oral/dental care, bathing, grooming, toileting, and/or showering while ensuring the privacy and safety of the client and encouraging the client's independence.
- Support the client with simple range of motion or other exercises as directed.
- Assist in meal preparation and encourage resident to maintain level of independence. Observe appetite and offer suggestions for dietary planning.
- Allow/encourage clients to make their own decisions when appropriate to promote independence.
- Report grievances and complaints made by the clients.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties for clients.
- Assist client to and from scheduled activities of choice. Encourage clients to participate in activities.
- Outstanding people skills
- Patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving
- Good physical condition
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) plus a minimum of 1 year prior experience as a nursing assistant with appropriate license/certification.
