What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Junior Recruiter position at Bucks County Intermediate Unit?

This position will be responsible for administrative functions that focus primarily on staffing and human resources related responsibilities. The Human Resources Junior Recruiter will assist the Human Resources Recruiter in the recruitment life cycle including job postings and screening and selection process to place qualified candidates in IU job openings. Responsible for communication and collaboration with staff, supervisors, school districts and staffing agencies. Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks; such tasks are not limited to administrative staffing duties just within the HR Department.

Essential Functions:

  • Generate Personnel Action Forms (PAFs), including processing and monitoring of paperwork for hiring and staffing processes, resignations, and retirements.
  • Handle job requisition management including creating job templates and posting new and replacement positions. Work with recruiter on sourcing plan for job openings especially hard to fill positions.
  • Assists in posting openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues. Maintain posting jobs on-line through all job sites
  • Assist and participates in hiring events and job fairs
  • Assists and posts as a Bucks IU “Social Media Influencer”
  • Maintains and updates interview questionnaire library for all positions in Tale.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Management System, Tale
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employee’s onsite
  • Conduct prescreening interviews if applicable
  • Assists in converting applicants in Taleo system and 7-day posting notifications
  • Assist in coordinating contracting agency relationships with school age and early childhood programs. Assist in the recruitment, assignment, and onboarding of all contractors within these programs
  • Maintain staffing roster for School Age or Early Childhood programs. Creates staff and/or student rosters for each new school year and accurately update and maintain throughout the school year
  • Assists in new employee/contractor orientation, onboarding, acclimating new employees to the policies, procedures, and other regulations of the special education department
  • Tracks and monitors staff assignments, caseloads and/or classroom rosters
  • Assists with analyzing and identification of program needs and staffing trends and worker verification reports
  • Provides support to stakeholder groups regarding day to day staffing of special education programs
  • Assists in extending offers
  • Assists with ESY programs and offer letter process

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, 260-day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours are dependent on the needs of the districts. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Little travel to client locations are expected for this position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: *

  • Level of Degree: Associate degree beneficial
  • Minimum of One-year recruitment experience beneficial
  • Minimum three (3) years’ administrative experience.
  • Ability to create, manage and edit spreadsheets and various reports
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals and to problem solve.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Advanced computer competency in using databases and the ability to learn other software as needed.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
