Company Description
Bud to Bloom Play Therapy provides play therapy to children and families in the St. Louis community who are healing and growing from trauma, depression, anxiety, or other difficulties. Additionally, the company offers services to community partners to teach them how to use play as a tool to help children express and heal themselves.
Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time (for a great fit) on-site role as a Child and Family Therapist. The therapist will work with children and families to help them cope with emotional difficulties using play therapy and related methods. Responsibilities include providing mental health therapy services to children and families, through individual, family and group therapy. We value bringing play therapy to the community so many of our therapists work in the community through one of our community partnerships.
Qualifications
- Value of diversity, equity and working with diverse populations
- Experience and training in Play Therapy
- Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting
- Expertise in mental health, assessment, and treatment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Must be provisionally licensed social worker (LMSW)
- Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues is preferred
- Availability to work some afternoon/evening hours or weekend availability due to our work with children and families this is key!
