• Operate power equipment, tools, lifts, or other machinery after receiving the proper safety training and authorization.
• Perform duties such as receiving, shipping, cleaning, organizing, WIP moving or RTS as needed.
• Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, materials, and hook tow trucks to trailer hitches, and transports load to designated area.

Job Summary:
Buddy's Kitchen, Inc., a leading ready-to-eat USDA facility specializing in frozen food products and co-packing services for various industries, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for 2nd shift to join our team. The warehouse forklift Associate is responsible for receiving, shipping, and stocking products. Operates reach trucks, stand up lifts, sit-down forklifts, scissor lifts, and riding pallet jacks.

Duties:

• Load or unload materials by raising and lowering lifting devices, onto or off pallets, trailers, or other lifting devices.
• Conduct and document pre-operation inspections of powered industrial trucks. Report all defects.
• Promptly report any suspected defects in equipment or other potentially hazardous conditions or practices.
• Safely operate powered and industrial trucks in accordance with your safety training.
• Always wear the proper personal protective equipment.
• Report immediately all accidents and injuries, no matter how insignificant, to the supervisor.
• Perform your job safely and conduct yourself in a manner that ensures your own personal safety and others.
• Inventory materials on the work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Shrink wraps pallets and products on pallets.
• Must be able to complete transactions and research errors in inventory to keep product current and from expiring.
• Must be able to perform cycle counts.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with forklifts.
• Familiarity with reach trucks, stand up lifts, sit-down forklifts, scissor lifts, and riding pallet jacks.
• Must be forklift certified.
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability work effectively in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent communication skills.
