**Job Overview:**
Join our team at Budget Blinds of Terre Haute and Sullivan as our Showroom Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional window covering solutions to our valued customers. As a part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to our commitment to delivering top-notch service and style to homes and businesses in the Wabash Valley.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist showroom visitors and callers on Saturdays (10a-3p) and Wednesdays (9a-5p) by showing or describing a variety of window coverings, including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery (manual and motorized) with knowledge of product, fabric and other options from various vendors.
- Call customers to discuss their needs, and schedule consultations and installations, with the use of a computer program.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any product-related questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in and around the showroom.
- Represent Budget Blinds of Terre Haute and Sullivan professionally and uphold our reputation for exceptional service.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in window coverings or interior design is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to use a personal computer and office phone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Able to cover the showroom on Saturdays (10a-3p) and at least one weekday (currently Wednesday 9a-5p) per week. The ideal candidate may occasionally be asked to cover other weekdays based on business need (ex, vacation coverage)
- Willing to cross-train and assist other positions as needed (Showroom Specialist, Design Consultant, Installer); occasional driving to customer locations.
