What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Education Coach position at Building Blocks?
JOB SUMMARY:
Building Blocks covers 28 counties across southern Indiana. The Early Education Coach for our Regional Training Center develops and supports early learning teachers by providing guidance and assistance to improve student outcomes. These outcomes are measured by relevant assessments as determined by the administrative team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Consumer and Family Sciences, Business Administration, Social Work, or Counseling.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an early childhood setting, a CCR&R agency, or an agency providing family support services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Guide teachers in creating individual growth plans (Areas of Focus) for students assigned in the case management load.
· Ensure teachers are monitoring and documenting student progress and are able to articulate that to appropriate persons.
· Mentor teachers on Best Practices and curriculum/instruction.
· Counsel individual teachers as needed.
· Support teachers in dealing with student behavior issues as needed, following up with students of concern.
· Train/support new teachers.
· Check teachers’ weekly planners and assist with lesson planning.
· Support teachers’ understanding of student learning profiles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 per year
