Graphic Designer

Buisson Creative, one of Louisiana’s most awarded design agencies, is seeking an in-office graphic designer who can work both independently and collaboratively. The agency has a strong history in tourism, travel, brand marketing, and political design. The designer will demonstrate a passion for creative design. The designer will work with multi-disciplinary teams, which will involve observing, listening, researching and brainstorming. The designer will experience the innovation process of projects in many different mediums, and it is the designer's role to communicate ideas in the form of presentations, web media, print media and prototypes.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Metairie, Louisiana with a satellite office in Covington, Louisiana. Buisson Creative provides benefits including, health insurance, 401K program and paid time off. Salary will be determined based on experience.

Requirements:

• 2 years of graphic design experience
• Working knowledge of Mac operating systems
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Skilled in Premier Pro or Avid/Final Cut Pro software is a plus
• Good understanding of fundamental design principles for web and print (typography, composition, color, hierarchy of information, etc.)
• Knowledge of print production process and experience preparing files for print is a plus
• Ability to create high quality designs for multiple pieces per projects
• Demonstrate the ability to lead a project from conception to print
• Ability to create high quality designs for mail-out pieces
• Manage brand consistency
• Translate strategic objectives into design elements
• Ability to generate new and original ideas within the parameters of stated objectives
• Excellent internal/external customer relations
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to make subjective decisions regarding subject matter and projects

Minimum Qualifications

• Required - Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet strict deadlines.
• Required - Ability to work well with all levels of staff and the general public
• Required - Must possess good customer service skills.
• Required - Must have a working knowledge of and MAC operating systems, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suites and Avid/Final Cut Pro software.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Pay: $35,000.00 - $48,500.00 per year
