Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. of Greenville, SC is seeking to hire a full-time Project Geotechnical Engineer to work in our Construction Services Division (CMT). The main responsibility of this role will be, but may not be limited to, providing geotechnical analyses of slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic conditions, deep foundation options, seepage and drainage, earthwork volume calculations, excavation techniques, earth retaining structures, and pavement design. The scope of assignments will range from initial client interaction for scope fee and proposal development, monitoring and oversight of subsurface explorations and laboratory testing of soils, geotechnical analysis and report preparation, client follow-up, and on-site monitoring of geotechnical construction.
This individual will have a responsibility of subsurface exploration by soil test borings, CPT, Geoprobe and geophysical methods of site conditions for use in geotechnical evaluation and analysis. The engineer role will also require implementation of technical requirements to complete client project by directing field staff to sample, test, and collect data at various client sites. Individual must be self-motivated and be able to effectively manage time and work priorities and be able to clearly communicate with other department staff, field staff, and clients.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5 years Preferred experience in geotechnical engineering consulting, geostructure design, or solid waste landfill CQA
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (requirement) with preferred Master's in Civil Engineering
- EIT/FE with ability to obtain PE license
- Experience with assigning and interpreting laboratory tests on soils
- Experience with providing verbal and written recommendations, producing reports, calculations, technical figures, charts, drawings, and construction specifications
- Self-motivated and ability to manage time and priorities
- Needs to be able to clearly communicate and work effectively with clients and other department staff
