Responsibilities

Burgess & Niple is looking for a Designer to join our multi-discipline engineering consulting firm supporting efforts in our Indianapolis office.

What a Designer job is all about:

• Supported and mentored by a team of technical experts and project managers, you’ll design and produce plans for variety transportation design projects for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT)
• As part of a project team, collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow INDOT standards and guidelines
• Manage and coordinate project drawings using Microstation and InRoads

What you need to make an impact:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associates Degree or college training may be substituted for some, but not all required experience
• Minimum of 4 years of design experience in the industry performing similar work plus prior CADD experience, required
• Good communication skills and detail oriented
• Software experience with Microsoft Office, Microstation and InRoads, required. Working knowledge of Open Roads experience preferred
