Cleaning Technician

Janitorial Evering Porter will maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of an office setting in Hartford. This position offers growth potential. A minimum of 1 year of janitorial experience is required, and fluency in English is mandatory, with Spanish language skills considered a plus. Key Responsibilities: Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing all designated areas such as offices, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Trash Management: Empty trash receptacles regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Supply Restocking: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, restroom consumables, and other necessary items to ensure availability and maintain a clean and organized environment. Surface Maintenance: Clean and maintain surfaces, including desks, tables, windows, glass doors, and other fixtures, ensuring they are free from dirt, fingerprints, and streaks. Floor Care: Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, spot cleaning, and occasional buffing or waxing. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring fixtures, mirrors, sinks, countertops, and floors are sanitary and presentable. Special Projects: Assist with periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, furniture polishing, and other maintenance projects as assigned.

Safety and Security: Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel and take necessary precautions to maintain a safe working environment. Professional Interaction: Interact professionally with office staff, visitors, and vendors, providing assistance and addressing any cleaning-related inquiries or requests courteously and promptly. Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to cleaning protocols, safety regulations, and confidentiality. Minimum of 4 years of janitorial experience. Fluent in English, with Spanish language skills considered a plus. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products is preferred. Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks. Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, visitors, and superiors.
