What started out as a single restaurant with a vision to bring Burmese cuisine to the world, has quickly turned into a family of restaurants, a non-profit organization, as well as a retail line, and this is just the beginning.

Position Summary:

This role is more than a Bar Back, it is the opportunity to join a family, and act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food and drinks. Take our patrons on a culinary adventure through education, quality customer service, and making sure they have a positive experience at our restaurant! We are counting on you to be an extension of our brand. 

How you can help :

• Ensure that bar is stocked and ready for service at the beginning of every shift

• Prepare/Restock any necessary garnishes and ingredients, such as fresh juices, etc. to ensure no shortages during the shift

• Communicate with the bartenders who worked before and after their shift to relay any important information, i.e, being low or out of anything

• Assist with crafting our delicious unique cocktails while educating, interacting and connecting with our guests through the food, beverage and culture 

• Set the ambiance (music, lights, cleanliness, etc) of the bar area for an enjoyable and memorable guest experience

• Assess needs to ensure guest satisfaction and make recommendations to enhance flavor profiles with appropriate food and drink pairings

• Be personable, always greet patrons, engage with a positive attitude and make an effort to remember regulars 

• Be a team player, and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere 

• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

• Support and assist with other duties as assigned

Skills You have:

• Team Player Positive Attitude

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent verbal communication and positive interpersonal skills required

• 6 months experience as a Host

• Service experience in a fast-paced environment

• Able to acquire a California Food Handler’s & Responsible Beverage Service Certification (before or within 1 month of hiring)
