POSITION SUMMARY
At Burrell Communications, the junior strategist is a crucial team member who assists the strategy department by bringing an insightful, inspiring, and actionable perspective on culture and consumers. The ideal candidate will embody our agency values by being curious, passionate, and deeply engaged in culture and consumer behavior.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Strategic Support: Assist with the creation and implementation of strategic planning initiatives, including market research, consumer and cultural trend analysis, note-taking during meetings, and active, ongoing participation.
- Collaborative Attitude: Engage closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring strategies are seamlessly integrated across all aspects of the campaign and aligned with the broader objectives.
- Proactivity: Always be thinking about the client’s business, understanding their business challenges, and bringing forward cultural and consumer insights.
- Storytelling Skills: Effectively communicate strategic plans and insights to both clients and internal teams, articulating the rationale behind strategic decisions and expected outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- A passion for strategic planning, culture, consumer insights, and advertising/communications.
- Engaged in culture and curious-minded.
- Deep interest in multicultural markets and the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Experience using Mintel and/or MilwardBrown a plus.
