What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Prep position at Burrito Shack?
Burrito Shack in Jacksonville, NC is looking for a weekend Prep Cook to join our team. We are located on 3040 Western Blvd Unit 100. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, attentive, efficient, and reliable.
The shifts will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7am-3pm.
Pay starts at $12/hour plus tips, which are an additional $2-$3/hour.
Responsibilities:

*Open the restaurant and prepare for the beginning of the day. *Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstations for cooking. *Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes such as salsas, sauces, and other items. *Weigh and measure ingredients. *Utilize basic and proper culinary skills to wash, peel, and dice vegetables and trim and marinate meat. *Label, stock, and inventory ingredients. *Ensure proper sanitation of prep area and proper food rotation is in place. *Assist with dishes.
Qualifications:

*Ability to properly weigh ingredients and follow set recipes. *General knowledge of food preparation and sanitation. *Basic knife skills. *Communicate with and work alongside management. *Dedicated to providing quality products with fresh ingredients. *Work efficiently.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Compensation is $14.00 - $15.00/hour.
