GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
The Human Resources Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating the Aesop Substitute Teacher Consortium for Butler County school districts in collaboration with the Warren County ESC and South West Ohio Council of Government (SWO COG); processes paperwork for substitute teachers, registers substitutes in AESOP system, answers telephone calls and walk-ins questions, responds to email from internal and external customers, coordinates with SWO COG for substitute payroll and personnel files, conducts background/fingerprinting checks, coordinates sub orientation meetings, coordinates invoicing for Butler County consortium members, sorts through incoming and outgoing mail.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Bachelor degree from four-year College or university preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years experience and/or training in human resources office
Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions
Computer expertise in word processing, database management, spreadsheets, web applications.
Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions and at times improvise as necessary to complete the task at hand.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision; attention to detail is critical.
Ability to maintain confidential information, exercising judgment and diplomacy at all times.
Knowledge of standard office methods and practices.
Excellent English and grammar skills, including spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
Basic business math skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
History of good job attendance.
Must pass criminal background check and be free from communicable disease.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
