What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Butler County Sheriff's Office?
Performs various repairs and maintenance to county buildings, offices, facilities, structures, and equipment; maintains buildings and grounds to ensure pleasant appearance and good working order; performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains BCSO buildings, facilities, structures, and equipment by performing various tasks, including but not limited to minor repairs to light switches, fixtures, and outlets; makes minor plumbing repairs; repairs broken windows; minor carpentry jobs; paints buildings, offices, or structures; and preparation of facilities and meeting rooms for use
Performs maintenance to county equipment; changes oil and tunes small engines; lubricates moving parts, tightens belts and bolts, and other related maintenance tasks.
Tours building and grounds to identify existing or potential maintenance needs; corrects minor problems and informs management or designated service providers of major repair needs.
Notes parts and supplies needed to perform necessary repairs to buildings, structures, or equipment; informs management of needs; picks up parts as approved from local suppliers.
Must be available for response to emergencies and problems that may arise after normal working hours. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
Essential functions of this position are required to be performed within the workplace facilities and therefore, position is not subject to telecommuting.
SALARY: $17.00-$23.00/hour, includes benefit package
