Description
As an Accounting Associate you will:
Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare customer invoices and apply cash receipts
- Accepting credit card payments and perform collection calls as necessary
- Process customer credit applications and conduct reference checks
- Maintain cash liquidity report and reconcile cash
Accounts Payable:
- Record invoices and process weekly checks and invoices, expedite as necessary.
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports
- Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports
- Maintain vendor information and verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
General Accounting:
- Process inventory cycle counts and analyze results
- Analyze scrap expense and related drivers
- Calculate monthly broker commission statements
- Assist with month-end closing
- Help take our reporting and analytics to the next level
- Engage in projects and other activities as needed

Requirements
We believe a successful Accounting Associate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of Accounting related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Sound mathematical, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Unquestionable accuracy of data entry and review of invoices
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while interacting with internal and external customers
- A high level of integrity and business ethics
- ERP software proficiency, Sage is preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups
