Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Logistics Specialist to oversee receiving, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment across project locations. This full-time, hourly, benefits‑eligible position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate custody transfer, maintaining inventory integrity, and coordinating material flow between warehouses, laydown yards, and active job sites. This role requires extensive travel throughout the United States (approximately 75%).

Key Responsibilities
Material Receipt & Inspection
- Coordinate and oversee receiving of project materials and equipment
- Perform initial visual inspection for damage or discrepancies
- Verify deliveries against packing lists and purchase orders
- Document issues and initiate NCRs when required
- Collaborate with QA/QC for technical inspections
- Maintain accurate inventory records in material/logistics systems
- Conduct cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance research
- Track material locations and movements
- Implement and maintain storage organization systems
- Monitor storage conditions (including sensitive equipment)
- Generate inventory reports for project teams
- Coordinate movement of materials between storage locations and job sites
- Manage staging, kitting, and material requests from field teams
- Maintain chain-of-custody documentation
- Coordinate transportation logistics
- Track material usage and installation progress
- Maintain detailed receiving records
- Process certificates, compliance documents, and material paperwork
- Ensure real-time updates in material tracking systems
- Generate routine material status reports
- Maintain equipment preservation documentation
- Interface with project teams regarding material needs and availability
- Work with procurement on delivery schedules
- Communicate with vendors regarding shipment issues
- Support field teams with accurate material information
- Coordinate with warehouse and laydown yard personnel
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or material management
- Experience with material/logistics management systems
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inspection procedures
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience supporting industrial or construction projects
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes
- APICS or similar certification
- Experience with preservation and handling requirements
- Strong attention to detail

- Proficiency with inventory/logistics software
