By the Hand is a not for profit, religious organization. Individuals employed at By the Hand are working in ministerial roles and perform all or some of the following responsibilities: sharing the Gospel, teaching chapel, leading Bible studies, discipling students and modeling behavior that is consistent with Christ’s teaching.

 

Position Title: Facilities Administrator (Part-time - 30 hours per week)

 

Reports to: Director of Facilities

 

Pay Range: $25-28 per hour

Overview of Position:

The Facilities Administrator will support the Facilities team and the CFO by providing administrative support. The position includes scheduling, organizing, filing, communicating with customers and vendors, maintaining supplies and asset documentation, ensuring facility policy adherence. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

 

Spiritual Requirements:

  • Has a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that demonstrates the Word of God, and is in regular fellowship with other members in a Bible-believing church.

  • Agrees with the By The Hand Club Doctrinal Statement and adheres to the Employee Biblical Standards of Living.

  • Shows by example, the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship.

  • Participates in weekly team prayer and devotion.

  • Has completed an evangelism course and is trained and prepared to share the gospel with anyone who inquires  

  • Works with leadership to monitor and enforce policies and procedures to further the BTH's religious purpose and religious freedom.

Role Responsibilities:

The Facilities Administrator is responsible for coordinating and managing all of the following: 

  • Performs in a way that is consistent with the vision, mission and culture of By The Hand and commits to excellence in every aspect of the overall operation.

  • Models cultural values of By The Hand Club For Kids in day-to-day behavior.

  • Follows all policies as outlined in the operational guide, including maintaining brand standards and ensuring 100% adherence to the Child Protection Policy.

  • Participates in employee growth plans including a regular personal development plan meeting. 

  • Works with the Facilities Director to manage the Facilities Ticketing System and customer feedback.

  • Oversees management of Community/Internal Event use of the buildings, including scheduling, calendaring and community member communications.

  • Assists in the creation/implementation of preventative maintenance systems for all buildings.

  • Maintains supply inventory at each site.

  • Maintains vendor contact list and vendor contracts.

  • Assists with budget management, spearheading/investigating potential facility cost savings.

  • Administers Key and Vehicle polices.

  • Schedules vendor work appointments.

  • Requests work estimates.

  • Gathers and organizes asset records, manuals, tax documents, insurance policies, and government filings.

  • Performs building walk-throughs/check-ins with site facility liaisons.

  • Assists with setup for All-Staff meetings/events.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • This position requires a Christ-like servant leader who has a sense of calling and who models Biblical principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team and inspire others.

  • Experienced in writing professional emails and proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including Forms, Sheets, Excel, and Word.

  • Strong project management skills, with a focus on organization and attention to detail.

  • Exhibits flexibility and an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Be willing to drive to each site to accomplish tasks as needed.

  • Be assertive with vendors.

  • Proactive with the ability to learn quickly and work independently, a self-starter.

  • Displays quality work through accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent project management skills, which include being organized and detail oriented.

Education:

A Bachelors or Associates degree in a business-related field.

 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position does not work remotely.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to speak and listen. This role may require you to move equipment between rooms and/or locations and lift up to 50 pounds. Periodically has to travel to other organizational sites for meetings and training.
