What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Byrd Regional Hospital?
"The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples using various collecting techniques such as Venipuncture and skin puncture. They draw blood, ensure that it is not contaminated or damaged and deposit it into a test tube for testing purposes. They use thorough knowledge of blood collection to determine which type of collection technique is appropriate for each test collected. They are responsible for correct labeling and handling of each specimen collected.
Fulltime Nights. High School Diploma preferred. This will be a 40 hour/week position with alternative 7 on/7 off scheduling. Will be working as the only phlebotomist on the shift making experience a must. Shift Scheduling will include Holidays and Weekends.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
