Byrne & Jones Construction is the number one asphalt paving company in the St. Louis metro area. We are also one of the largest builders of athletic facilities in the Midwest - Turf Fields, Running Tracks, & Playing Courts—concrete flatwork, structural concrete, soil stabilization, and micro-surfacing round out our construction services.
We are seeking an experienced CDL dump truck driver for our Paving Division based in Bridgeton, MO.
Responsibilities include but are NOT limited to:
- Safely drives dump truck to destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area to deliver rock and/or asphalt to our project sites and crews.
- Ability to load and haul equipment on TAG tri-axle trailers behind dump trucks. Equipment might typically include pavers and skid-steers.
- Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle and trailer in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or non-working parts.
- Maintains a truck log following state and federal regulations and company policy.
- Communicate regularly with the operations manager to ensure that the delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
- Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified by company policy.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications include but are NOT limited to:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and good driving history is required.
- Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.
- Must pass or have recently passed DOT physical.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
