What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Finisher position at Byrne & Jones?
Byrne & Jones Construction operates all across the Midwest and continues to grow. We are a family of companies including several divisions and owned subsidiaries that focus on asphalt, concrete, sports, and microsurfacing. We work on projects ranging from small asphalt repairs to large commercial construction projects. Byrne & Jones Construction can handle everything outside of the building -- no job is too big or too small.
We are seeking experienced Concrete Finishers. This position is responsible for meeting daily production schedules. Successful candidates will be required to operate equipment such as pavers or concrete saws.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure safe operation of jobsite and safety of employees
- Meet daily production goals by understanding and performing all aspects of concrete operations
- Communicate with laborers
Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience in finishing
- Must be able to travel to jobsites as assigned
Byrne & Jones is a union contractor and is signatory to the Laborers International Union. Pay is according to the union scale or the prevailing wage – whichever is higher.
