Job purpose

To assist the Director of Marketing in the coordination and execution of daily and long-term marketing activities; to promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers. The marketing coordinator must display a mature sense of responsibility and professionalism as they carry out their daily activities, demonstrate leadership in working with other members of the team, and acts as an ambassador of the department.

Duties and responsibilities

Web-based Marketing

  • This position has a special emphasis on web-based marketing planning and execution. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Collect and analyze results of marketing promotions; contribute new initiatives and make suggestions for areas of improvement both specifically related to websites, and otherwise
  • Plans web-based marketing initiatives, including but not limited to email marketing campaigns, and digital marketing campaigns resulting in increased click-through rates and ultimately conversions
  • Maintains the company's branded websites including, but not limited to monitoring statistics, updating product and customer files, updating images, monitoring inventory, refreshing landing pages, building specialized landing pages, coordinating with the WoW helpdesk as needed, improving SEO, publishing online catalogs, and verifying data accuracy.
  • Develops and distributes tutorials on the proper use of the cnfei.com websites and tools both internally and externally
  • Develops and executes year-long strategic growth plans for the company's branded websites to include web page and email campaigns.
  • Provides monthly reports on website performance.
  • Help track and develop advertisements and budget parameters for digital marketing initiatives.
  • Maintains website calendar for each brand.
  • Maintains product, inventory, and customer files for upload. Version control and accuracy are imperative to this task.
  • Work to ensure consistent messaging between company websites, social media, blogs, and other collateral.
  • Troubleshoot website issues identified internally and externally.

Marketing & Communications

  • Participate in strategy discussions around branding, and campaigns.
  • Prepare letters and emails to clients (internal and external), and vendors in response to questions or to provide clarification on an ongoing project.
  • Craft clear product marketing copy and/or coordinate copy needs with Copy & Content Specialist.
  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
  • Keeps promotional and sales materials ready by coordinating requirements with the graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Collect and analyze results of marketing promotions; contribute new initiatives and make suggestions for areas of improvement both specifically related to shows, and otherwise
  • Assist in maintenance and tracking of an advertising calendar, and work with the creative team to create and submit ads on a schedule.
  • Coordinate with the sales team on sales material needs and execute resulting projects.

Social Media Specific Communications

  • Works with Copy & Content Specialist to:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a yearly social media calendar.
  • Provide weekly posts for review at least one week in advance to include images, copy, and platforms
  • Ensure posts are scheduled in a timely manner on all platforms
  • Ensure posts coincide with ongoing marketing campaigns and communications and are brand consistent
  • Provide a list of images/graphics needed for social media campaigns in a timely manner, especially if new photography is required.

Event Planning and Execution

  • This position has a special emphasis on event planning and execution. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists; coordinates and ensures receipt of sales materials; setting up displays; attending shows as needed; making sure events are executed successfully.
  • Collect and analyze results of marketing promotions; contribute new initiatives and make suggestions for areas of improvement both specifically related to shows, and otherwise
  • Keep Showroom directories up-to-date.
  • Monitors show budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Maintain trade show calendar.

Marketing Project Management

  • Updates and maintains marketing department documentation and databases.
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Supports the Marketing Manager in the semi-annual catalog production and distribution cycle
  • Work with the marketing team to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks.
  • Develops and maintains project calendars to include keeping project members accountable to deadlines.

Research & Analysis

  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Tracks product line sales and costs by analyzing and entering sales, expenses, and new business data.
  • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Updates competitor database by inputting data from field sales; compiling, consolidating, formatting, and summarizing information, graphs, and presentations; distributing reports.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, advertising, and/or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years or more of professional experience with marketing support activities
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles

  • Ability to work extended hours when/if workload required

Physical requirements

  • Carrying, Pushing, Pulling boxes, catalogs, sample orders up to 50 lbs.
  • Moving props at a photoshoot up to 50 lbs individually, or up to 100 lbs assisted
  • Interacting with Live domesticated animals on photoshoots, at events, or in the office

The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
