Position Overview
As an Automation Technician III, you will maintain the facilities Symbotic Automated Storage & Retrieval System by, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and completing preventive maintenance. You will be responsible for maintaining system operations by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying system components, troubleshoot all non-functioning electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic subsystems and components, ensuring they return to full serviceability.

Maintain all systems and subsystems of the Automated Storage & Retrieval System. Ensure rapid equipment return to serviceability by performing a thorough in-depth troubleshooting on any non-functioning or faulted system, subsystem or component.
Keep Management informed of specific problems and suggested actions, including approximate time required for repairs.
Ability to remove/replace, reload software parameters for Allen Bradley PLC product lines and other like components.
Troubleshoot and replace DeviceNet components on the material handling conveyor systems, including setting node numbers and running diagnostics. Be able to remove/replace mechanical parts of the TGW and Intralox material conveyor such as: repairing broken chain, belting, rollers drive motors, realigning or replacing control system sensors (photo-eyes), proximity, etc.
Will diagnose and replace as required electronic sensors including reprogramming and alignment.
Be proficient in performing Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and adjustments on Fanuc robotic arms and End Of Arm Tools. Be proficient with conveyor maintenance including Preventive Maintenance (PM) actions on automated conveyor equipment as directed.
Document repairs, PMs, parts usage, and time by completing work orders in a computerized maintenance data collection system (Maximo).
Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are completed.
Assist and train other automation team technicians in troubleshooting and repairs of any equipment as required, consistent with level of experience and training.

Skills
Specialized Knowledge : Working knowledge of 480, 277, and 120 volt electrical systems. (single and three phase). Advanced working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and network diagnostics
Special Skills : Experience welding with stick or MIG a plus
Physical abilities: : Site inspections, equipment inspections, mechanical repairs and replacements, all which require good mobility, physical exertion, walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, carrying tools and parts, etc.
Other: : Experience with MS Office programs: Excel, Word and Outlook.

2-5 : Hold an Associate's Degree for Electrical/Mechanical studies or 5 years equivalent experience in a electro/mechanical field
2-5 : Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics, mechanical diagrams and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns for troubleshooting and repairs, while understanding complex automated system drawings and component specification sheets.
2-5 : Possess sufficient Electrical/Mechanical aptitude to replace electrical/ mechanical components of Symbotic Rovers (BOTS) and perform preventive maintenance
