Position Summary:
The Assistant Superintendent supports on-site construction management by assisting with the coordination and supervision of field activities to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met. This role may also oversee smaller-scale projects independently.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing subcontractor work to ensure adherence to safety, schedule, and quality standards.

Support development and enforcement of project-specific quality control and safety plans.

Help prepare and maintain short-term schedules and track material deliveries.

Coordinate field inspections, mock-ups, and testing; maintain accurate project documentation and as-builts.

Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to foster collaboration.

Assist with project closeout tasks, including punch lists and final system turnovers.

Enforce Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) measures and documentation.

Provide input on field activities impacting change orders and procurement.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent field experience.

3–5 years of on-site construction experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Viewpoint and scheduling tools (e.g., P6) is a plus.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Working knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and procurement processes.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to navigate active construction sites including climbing ladders and stairs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Work Environment:
Primarily on-site at construction projects with exposure to noise, weather, dust, and mechanical equipment.
