The Expert/Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise and data center wide data network solutions that align with the architecture and business models to achieve optimal solutions for Ensono and its clients. The Expert/Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions to include Network, Network Security/Threat, and Voice solutions; developing and maintaining network documentation; developing and maintaining network standards and guidelines; manage network and security capacity planning; network and network security lifecycle management, interacting and consulting with Ensono clients (internal and external) to collect required solution information; coordinating solutions with Ensono clients; and providing support for engineering design and implementation issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans.• Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology standards.• Receive and implement network technologies supporting the transition of new business into the Ensono data centers. Review plans for technical correctness, negotiate appropriate implementation timeframes, implement on schedule and on budget.• Review new and existing IT projects, systems design, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.• Manage modifications and coordinate change control assignments. Work within the network operations and engineering teams, along with other teams as appropriate, to complete work tasks.• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvements.• Validate and prepare detailed specifications and documentation of network environments, provide knowledge transfer to other technical staff who will support the environment when transitioned to production.• Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and/or infrastructure reliability, flexibility, and availability.• Develop strong working relationships with all Data Center staff to be able to assist and receive assistance in meeting critical and often urgent deadlines• Work with Program Managers, Transition Managers, & Account Managers to identify detailed implementation plans and set appropriate and realistic timelines for network projects and work efforts.• Provide guidance to other members of the team in areas of expertise. Receive guidance from other team members in areas where additional expertise can be gained.• Collaborate with end users, other technical staff, and multiple levels of management to define business and technical requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all infrastructure plans.• Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to other internal organizations to support customer requirements.• Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans.• Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology standards.• Receive and implement network technologies supporting the transition of new business into the Ensono data centers.
