A “Day in the Life" of a pre-employment specialist: Ensure timely and accurate data entry such as documenting notes, updating statuses in the recruiting tool, updating spreadsheets, and completing weekly reports. Review pre-employment screening, order background checks, drug screenings, and other required pre-employment screening reports while ensuring all searches comply with Company policies & with employment laws. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, DOT, and FMCSA regulations during the recruiting and hiring processes. Facilitate a positive candidate experience through attentive communication with internal and external customers, including third-party vendors. Cross-train to assist recruiters and perform additional job-related duties as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: One (1) or more years’ experience of high-volume administrative, human resources, or safety support experience with a High School Diploma or GED required. Proficient in Microsoft office with experience in maintaining confidential files and reports. Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributor with excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, oral, verbal as well as written with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Knowledge of DOT regulations will be nice to have.
