Mechanical Designer (EIT or PE)

C1S Group, Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Designer to develop high-quality mechanical design solutions for our clients. You will have design accountability for developing mechanical systems for industrial and commercial facility renovation projects. You will be the critical resource that consolidates information from the project manager and all other design disciplines to create a comprehensive set of construction documents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical design solutions for commercial and industrial renovation projects (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc.).

• Coordinate mechanical design with other disciplines and existing conditions to ensure constructability.

• Attend kickoff, coordination, and site meetings for all projects.

• Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to accomplish design assignments.

• Communicate with permitting entities and utility companies to ensure design compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.

• EIT certification.

• 1-4 years of mechanical experience in industrial and commercial facility design, including:

  • Mechanical equipment sizing and layout

  • Heat load calculation

  • Duct sizing and routing

  • Pipe sizing and routing

• 3 years of Revit design experience.

• 3 years of Trane Trace.

• 2 years of engineering site work (as-builts, design verification, facility audits, etc.)

• Excellent time management and communication skills.

• Ability to work on more than one project at a time.

• Design-Build project experience preferred.
