Overview
We are seeking a creative and results-driven sales person to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new clients and drive revenue growth by attaining new clients, presenting solutions, taking sales calls, negotiating deals, and ensuring client satisfaction, often through close collaboration with internal teams to achieve sales targets.
An ideal candidate will have both sales experience and music industry experience. They will have experience in sales through holding sales quotes, growing a book of business, maintaining and managing it. This position is remote but has room for upward mobility towards a full time hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Prospecting: Identify and qualify new business leads, generate sales opportunities, and actively pursue new clients.
- Client Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients and their teams through proactive outreach, regular communication, and personalized interactions.
- Sales Calls and Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client goals, challenges, and pain points to tailor solutions effectively on sales calls with potential clients.
- Sales Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations showcasing the value proposition of products or services to prospective clients.
- Proposal Development: Create customized proposals outlining solutions, pricing, and timelines to meet release requirements.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, and other deal specifics to close sales and maximize profitability.
- Account Management: Manage existing client accounts within your book of business, monitor performance, address concerns, and proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast monthly sales pipeline and track progress towards achieving sales quotas.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the marketing team, management, artist teams and other internal teams to ensure seamless client experience.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track key sales metrics, analyze sales data, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Experience
- Sales Experience: Must have at least five years of sales experience.
- Music Industry Experience: Must have experience in the music industry on either the creative or business side. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of what musicians and their teams struggle with in the modern music industry and demonstrate a basic understanding of digital marketing.
- Social Media Experience: Must have experience in social media management mainly on Meta Platforms and TikTok.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively present information, address client concerns, and build rapport.
- Sales Acumen: Proven ability to identify sales opportunities, qualify leads, and close deals.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster trust and long-term client relationships.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, and client needs to develop strategic sales plans.
- Negotiation Skills: Confidence in negotiating contracts and reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver engaging and persuasive presentations to clients.
