PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise team and provide performance feedback to effectively accomplish Management Operating System (MOS) business objectives.
- Coordinate schedules and work direction for all three shifts with shift team leads.
- Supervise maintenance processes and methods to deliver process uptime and capability to achieve operational objectives and budgetary goals.
- Manage daily maintenance expenditures in compliance with budgets.
- Ensure operational performance and goal attainment as specified by the assigned metrics in the operations scorecard and provide periodic reporting and corrective actions plans to management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) programs.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and/or improve operational performance.
- Develop and manage processes and testing necessary to ensure environmental and safety regulatory compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5 years maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with preventative Maintenance systems.
- Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Must be available for off shift emergency response for critical equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Fundamental knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen activities and Six Sigma processes.
- Associate degree in engineering or related field.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience with Limble work order and inventory tracking system.
- Experience with wood and wood coating products and processes executed in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Prior system controls experience.
