Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at our facility you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing. In this role:

• You will review patient results, work logs, quality control data, equipment maintenance logs, and repairs.
• You will ensure proficiency testing is performed and data submitted in a timely fashion.
• You will ensure that inventory levels are maintained adequately for the volume of testing performed and place supply orders for both stock and specials.
• You will keep informed of regulatory requirements and ensure that procedures are in place to maintain accreditation by inspecting agencies.
• You will assist with the development of procedure manuals.
• You will help introduce new tests as necessary to maintain departmental quality, efficiency, and clinical utility.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from an accredited college or university required.
• Nationally recognized certification as a Medical Technologist from the American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Experience in a hospital or other clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
