Job Description

IPPS-A Deployment Manager

Responsible for the overall management, performance, and completion of deployment tasks and delivery for major IPPS-A releases

Reports directly to the Training, Deployment and Sustainment (TDS) Release Manager

What you will get to do:

Duties include all areas of project management, from initiation through closeout to ensure the successful execution of the project's mission, goals, and objectives to include:

  • Leads a collaborative effort with technical staff and external stakeholders to define technical and operational requirements and develop the IPPS-A deployment strategy and system cutover checklist
  • Plans the IPPS-A transition to the user community and documents it in various associated technical documents
  • Utilizes well-proven implementation methodology to execute a large number of inter-related tasks in an appropriate sequence to identify risks, mitigations, and issues to successfully deploy IPPS-A to the user community
  • Enlists professional advice from technical and functional subject matter experts from both internal and external sources to compile the deployment plan and technical documents
  • Establishes and maintains two-way communication between Team CACI Deployment and other internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Team CACI Training and Sustainment managers and Team Leads to ensure timely execution of tasks as scheduled in the Integrated Master Schedule
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Team CACI Management, PMO and FMD Deployment Managers and Leads
  • Builds rapport and maintains communication with government, military, and external stakeholders
  • Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities to meet demands of a dynamic deployment sequence
  • Supports the CAM and Business Operations to manage schedule performance by providing inputs to the Integrated Master Schedule, resource loading and providing weekly status updates
  • Supports the CAM and Business Operations to manage cost performance for Deployment specific work packages
  • Reviews and briefs the status of all Deployment areas of responsibility to Triad Leadership during Weekly and Monthly Program Reviews
  • Coaches, mentors, and leads the deployment team to execute the world-wide deployment of the Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A) to the U.S. Army
  • Establishes data quality metrics to monitor progress and continuously aligns resources with project scope and strategic objectives
