What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician position at CACI?
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Engineering Technician to join our team. This position involves providing a wide variety of engineering support to our customers onboard NSWC Corona.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining a database of classified laptops, preparing the laptops to go on travel, communicating with the travelers to assign a laptop to each of them for upcoming events, keeping track of branch events, keeping track of individuals assigned to each event, providing the travelers with needed technical assistance and provide support to their upcoming events.
Following specific instructions, you will assemble or construct simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment.
You will also on occasion assist Branch Managers with other duties as needed and help with additional inventories as required.
You will assist with the preparation of design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of equipment.
You may by asked to collect data, possibly ride ship as a back-up person if necessary.
You will assist with meeting support on and off base, may require travel depending on where the meeting will be held.
Qualifications:
Required:
(3 years’ experience with the following)
Excel
Microsoft Word
Outlook
- Friendly Customer Support
- Willingness to learn
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be willing to work on site in Norco, California
- Must be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
Minimum Required Hourly Wage:
$25.27
