What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Trainer position at CACI?
Under supervision, the Technical Trainer assists in developing and presenting live and on-demand training that includes lectures, classroom discussions, team exercises, case studies, role plays, demonstrations of investigator and reviewer tasks, and eLearning obtains technical data to determine the training required to support new and experienced background investigators and reviewers monitors and evaluates trainees to measure their learning progress and the effectiveness of training programs and provides administrative support for training programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct on-line training for background investigators and reviewers. Consult with subject matter experts and managers to assess training needs and develop live and on-demand learning content. Analyze investigator and reviewer performance and assist with the development of continuing education programs. Comply with National Training Standards and customer requirements. Provide administrative support for training programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must have at least 12 months’ experience conducting/processing background investigations on behalf of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and must currently work on the DCSA contract.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in using the internet
- U.S. Citizenship (a requirement for a federal security clearance)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable U.S. Government security clearance
- Sense of mission in support of national security
- Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test
- Ability to plan, execute and problem solve
- Impeccable work ethic, integrity, and can-do attitude
- Excellent time management and administrative skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Curriculum development and adult education experience.
- Experience developing learning content for live delivery and online learning management systems.
- Demonstrated experience creating and evaluating assessments for measuring learning and performance improvements.
- Background Investigator experience or experience reviewing federal background investigation reports
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Normal demands associated with an office environment
- Must sit or stand to work at a computer, reading and typing, for long periods of time
- Maintain visual ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and to adjust focus while reading words and numbers
- Ability to communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and in person
- Speak and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and over the phone
