What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative (Teller) position at CACL Financial?
Basic Functions:
Perform a wide range of transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records. Provide a variety of member savings, share draft/checking, and credit account transactions, as well as member services such as sales of money orders and traveler’s checks. Must be skilled in customer service.
Specific Duties of the Member Service Representative:
· Assist members in filling out forms for services.
· Provide general information regarding credit union services or policies to those who inquire.
· Enter membership information and initial deposit into the computer system to set up new account.
· Cross sell credit union products and services when appropriate.
· Assist in solving member issues or questions on EFT/ACH.
· Work in cooperation with the BSA Officer in regards to compliance and fraud issues.
· Post over-the-counter, mail, and telephone transactions for members.
· Accountability of their cash drawer. Cash drawer is to be balanced daily.
· Complete direct deposit forms.
· Answer the telephone. If other than a teller related phone call, the incumbent is to transfer the call to the appropriate personnel.
· Complete "Verification of Account" forms.
· General filing when needed.
· Maintains proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, and OFAC.
· Any additional duties assigned.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing for prolonged periods. Exerting up to 30 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have verbal, vision, and auditory acuity. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Must have the ability to walk short distances, use stairs, lift, and carry small parcels.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience Requirements: Prior cash handling is preferred.
