- Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department. Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives. - Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager regarding any concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction. - Responsible for supporting compliance to departmental budgets. - Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. - Ensures efficiency of Slot machines and related gaming equipment during assigned shift. - Provides authorizing/verifying signature for jackpot payments, when applicable, in accordance with established procedures. - Assists with service light calls in accordance with established procedures. - Notifies Slot Technicians if any technical issues arise. - Monitors chips and cash transactions between dealers and customers and ensures that proper payout amounts are paid to customers, in accordance with established procedures. - Accounts for chips on assigned games. This includes making fills and credits as needed. - Reports customer concerns to manager. - Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Verifies and authorizes jackpot payouts.
- Supports and assists slot attendants and dealers on the casino floor.
- General monitoring of job performance of slot service specialists.
- Covers shifts for shift managers as needed.
- Assists casino patrons with general questions concerning the casino.
- Responsible for all activity that transpires on the casino floor relative to Slots and/or Table Games.
- Informs and communicates all pertinent information to the Casino Manager.
- Observes, verifies and supervises payout transactions relative to Slots/and or Table Games.
- Oversees all significant monetary exchanges to ensure prompt and accurate execution of transactions.
- Completes daily personnel assignments and re-assigns personnel based on business volumes, including but not limited to Early Outs and the opening and closing of games.
- Communicates interdepartmentally on an ongoing basis with departments such as Marketing, Security and Surveillance.
- Completes performance appraisals for direct reports, providing clear direction as needed to meet departmental standards and achieve both departmental and company goals. Adheres to all departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for key control and associated documentation.
- Responsible for training and communicating all procedural changes/modifications/new policies governing games that are added to the casino floor.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and fluctuating days off.

- Two or more years’ experience in a casino environment in slots, table games, or slot performance.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to write reports, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Demonstrated intermediate level of competence in the areas of ambition, customer service, engagement, leadership, business reasoning and emotional intelligence.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate
This job has supervisory responsibilities.
- Responsible for staff development and training programs.
- Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
- Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
- Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
- Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
- Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).
