What The Role Is

A Director - Private Banker should act as a senior trusted advisor to the Bank's high net worth customers by understanding, anticipating, and satisfying the customer's banking and financial needs. The Private Banker will team with other Wealth and Bank lines of business to ensure all facets of the customer's financial needs are met (commercial, consumer, investment, trust, etc.). The Private Banker will increase revenue by recommending appropriate products and services, generating new customer relationships, and by expanding the products and services of existing relationships. The Private Banker will retain existing relationships by providing a high level of individualized customer service and expertise. The Private Banker III will also act a liaison between the bank and the community in which they reside, being an active and visible leader in the market.

How You will Make an Impact

Responsible for the establishment and achievement of personal production goals and objectives. Goals will include new loan, deposit, investment and trust production along with associated revenue goals.

Manage portfolio of relationships, making decisions affecting account administration and issues which affect customer relations.

Provide service and develop rapport with existing customers and prospects, thereby expanding existing relationships and fostering new ones.

Expand client profitability by executing new business development activities. Secure new customers in addition to maintaining current ones.

Meet the varied and diverse financial needs of customers by informing customers of other Bank products and services such as personal trust and investment services. Commercial needs of the customer should also be met through the Bank's full suite of commercial loan and deposits products.

Maintain knowledge and understanding of appropriate legislation and regulations affecting banking and customer interaction to ensure all transactions and customer relationships are handled in a manner consistent with the laws and regulations.

Portfolio management including monitoring covenants, overdrafts, delinquencies, renewals, collateral values, credit/documentations, etc.




Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in business related field required. Ten plus years of Private Banking or General Banking experience required.

Advanced degree (master's degree, CPA, CFP), fully licensed (series 7, 66, insurance) preferred

Business development and decision making skills are essential. Communication skills should include the ability to prepare and deliver clear and smooth presentations for groups and individuals; Further, individual should be able to convey information clearly and effectively through formal and informal written communications. Individual must create an atmosphere in which timely and high quality information flows smoothly between self, clients and others. Individual must be personable, enthusiastic, have good one on one skills and the ability to feel at ease in an upscale social environment.

Organized individual with skills in technology, bank systems, word, excel. Good communication skills are essential for communicating with clients. Individual should be self-motivated and have good sales and client relationship management skills.

Strong credit skills desired including credit analysis, underwriting, mortgage, consumer loans, commercial loans, etc.

Ability to negotiate and structure credit facilities

Ability to analyze a client's entire balance sheet and make wealth recommendations across all areas of wealth management.
