POSITION SUMMARY
The Cage Cashier Leads responsibilities, under the direction of the Cage Manager, entail all responsibilities of the Cage Cashier PLUS ensuring breaks for Cage Cashiers, assisting Cage Manager with training, and ensuring compliance with department/organization processes and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cashing of checks for cash -utilizing computer terminals, maintaining inventory of documents, and negotiable instruments
- Process all hand pays; jackpots, canceled credits, short pays, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining their bank/vault, equipment, and surrounding area
- Prepares/processes banks for other departments
- Maintain ATM, MSTC Safe, Self-Check Out Kiosks, and Kiosks, as needed
- All training must be documented. Signatures of trainer and Cage Cashier are required to acknowledge training completed.
- Conducts operation of basic slot equipment such as jet-sorts, currency counter, coin wrapper, and calculator
- Promote teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and all co-workers
- Attend all mandatory meetings
- Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service
- Although service must be prompt, safeguarding casino assets is a priority. Therefore accuracy must be maintained, even under pressure.
- Knowledge of and compliance with jurisdiction gaming laws as well as internal controls, policies and procedures
- Comply with Title 31 record keeping and procedures
- Keep all information concerning guests confidential
- Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record
- Performs all duties of the Cage Cashier AND other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years prior casino cage, banking, or money handling experience; 3 years preferred
- Ability to handle money and operate a computer terminal
- Communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner
- Knowledge of 10-key, balancing of banks
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must meet requirements to qualify for a Cahuilla Casino Gaming License.
- Must pass an extensive background security check. No felony convictions and no serious misdemeanor convictions.
- Must be able to complete the 90 day Introductory Period in consecutive days as scheduled
